About us:

Language School Chichén Itzá, is a immersion school located in the heart of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula just some blocks from the most famous beach in the Riviera Maya, and 50 minutes south of Cancún, and is considered the most beautiful city of the ´Riviera Maya´. Ten years ago, it was still a small fishermen's village, but Playa del Carmen has developed into one of the most important tourist destinations in the Caribbean.

Playa del Carmen is a perfect place not only for your holidays but also for your education. Yes, you heard it right! Prepare to immerse yourself in Mexican culture by learning Spanish.

Language School Chichén Itzá was opened in December 2013, as an project familiar from the family Galicia, that specializes in teaching to foreigners Spanish in an intensive yet fun environment, offering Spanish language classes, accommodation, and well priced opportunities to explore the region, participate in a wide range of volunteering, cultural activities all in a family environment, with more than 7 years teaching experience, we welcome you to join us for a full immersion language learning experience and discover our passion for teaching.

We are a familiar language school. Our teachers will be as much as your friends and not only teachers giving a class. Learning a language is one thing, studying in a nice and familiar ambience makes it an unforgettable experience, which obviously also pushes the results. We seek to break the stereotypes about Mexico, to provide historical and political context for the language and to show the diversity of today’s Mexican culture. Through language and travel, we aim to inspire love for another part of humanity.

All our classes, at every level (beginner to advanced), consist of intensive instruction.
Group classes are 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday, from 9:30am to 1:30pm.
Each class has an average of 3 students with a maximum of 8 students.
These classes start every Monday.

We are also pleased to offer, extensive Spanish, private lessons, semi-private lessons or conversation classes to suit your needs.
No matter which way you choose to learn Spanish the classes will be very interactive and the Spanish you learn will be immediately useful for daily life.

At the end of the course our students receive a certificate, you will be given a certificate that documents the number of hours you studied and the level of Spanish you reached.

After your class practice your Spanish with extra activities INCLUDED such as:

Cooking classes, latin dancing, tours around Playa del Carmen, activities at the beach, local volunteering, Spanish conversation with Mexican students, and cocktail nights.

Language School Chichén Itzá offers two types of accommodation to suit your personal preference.

- Mexican Family Homestay

If you are interested in immersing yourself in the culture and language then this is the option for you. Discover the Mexican family first hand and learn about the daily cultural details you can never learn from a book, of course while practicing your Spanish!

$32 USD per night includes:
Your own room, A/C, TV, Wifi, breakfast and dinner

- Furnished Apartments

The apartments are located in downtown of Playa del Carmen one block from 5th avenue and two blocks from the beach. Single or shared rooms are available.

Single room is $30 USD per night
Shared room is $40 USD per night

This accommodation includes:
Fans, TV, Wifi, kitchen with fridge, and breakfast

We can organize regional excursions, Volunteering like teaching language to children, donate clothes and food to needy people and helping animals

*Excursions to places such as Chichén Itza, Coba, Tulum, Isla Mujeres, Xel-Ha, Xcaret and snorkeling adventures.
