ECHO Incorporated Social Media Policy.
ECHO Inc. prides itself on setting a high standard for quality products and innovation. Because our employees, channel partners and customers are proud of these high standards, we find there is a desire to discuss the company and its products through many online forums. With this in mind, the following policy will apply to company sponsored social media and personal use as it relates to ECHO Inc. and all associated brands.
• Disclose your Affiliation: If you are talking about the company or work related matters, tell people you work for ECHO/Shindaiwa.
• Copyrights/Trademarks: Proper copyrights, trademarks and reference laws should be observed when posting online.
• Protect our customers/employees: We respect the privacy of individuals. No personally identifiable information (PII) about a customer, channel partner or fellow employee should be shared on social media.
• Confidential Information: Do not publish, post or release information that is considered confidential. This would include potential new products, designs, non-publicly published financials, internal communications, etc. If in doubt, don’t post.
• Be Respectful and Honor Differences: Don’t use inappropriate language in any social media engagement. Don’t post anything that could be viewed as harassing or discriminatory to any individual or legally recognized protected group under federal, state or local laws, regulations or ordinances.
• Don’t Comment on Legal Matters: Anything to do with legal issues, cases or attorneys, should not be commented on without talking to management first.
• Removal of Comments/Posts: We reserve the right to remove any inappropriate comments or posts to any of our platforms.
• Check the Facts: What is put on the internet is out there permanently. Don’t post something without checking with the company experts first. This includes any questions about design, engineering, service, etc. If you do post something in error, post a correction or retraction. Don’t delete.
• Giveaways and Contests: Update the legal guidelines for any giveaways/contests being promoted through social media. Make sure all guidelines are posted with the giveaways/contests.
When putting anything out on our Social Media platforms and blog, it will follow the same guidelines listed above but will also include the following policy:
• External comments will be reviewed by the admin before they are posted.
• While we can’t respond to every comment, will still read them and try to respond where appropriate. We welcome constructive criticism.
• ECHO Inc. reserves the right to remove and/or block any inappropriate comments or posts that violate our policy.
• We will not post comments that use inappropriate language, profanity, spam, defamatory or violates our policies.
